HTC is working on its next flagship smartphone and more rumors about that device, which may be called the HTC One M10, have been posted. They include claims that it will have a QHD display, along with a fingerprint scanner and more.
VentureBeat's Evan Blass, better known as "@evleaks", the gadget-leaking Twitter account of that name, says his information is based an unnamed source which reportedly got some hands-on time with the phone:
Powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and skinned with HTC's Sense 8.0 UI, the 5.1-inch Perfume was tipped as the company's first global release to offer a 1440 x 2560 QHD display — which looked to be of the AMOLED variety, according to the person who saw it. Additionally, it will also be HTC's first widely-distributed flagship device to offer a fingerprint scanner, embedded in a Samsung Galaxy-like home button.
The report also claims it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside, which was rumored earlier this month. Blass says the HTC One M10 will have 4GB of RAM and a 12MP rear camera with a laser-based autofocus. Both the front and rear cameras are said to employ optical image stabilization.
The report says that HTC plans to officially reveal the phone sometime later in 2016 at its own press event.
