It's official folks. Xiaomi will be launching its flagship phone — the Mi 5 — on February 24. Xiaomi's head of global operations Hugo Barra confirmed the date via a tweet, stating that the phone will be "everything you imagined, and more:"

With last year's Mi Note and Mi Note Pro not seeing wide availability outside of China, Xiaomi will undoubtedly be pinning its hopes on the Mi 5. Earlier leaks of the phone have suggested a 5.2-inch QHD display, metal body, Snapdragon 820 SoC, variants offering 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
