Amazon Music Unlimited is Amazon's standalone streaming service that's destined to compete with the likes of Spotify and Apple Music, and starting today, you can now sign up and use it over in Canada.
In addition to your basic Android and iOS apps, Amazon Music Unlimited unsurprisingly ties into Alexa quite nicely. With an active subscription to the service, you can ask Alexa to play a specific song/playlist, add songs to a playlist you've made, and get even deeper controls with commands like "Alexa, play music I was listening to earlier today."
There are a few different Music Unlimited plans you can sign up for, the first of which is a CAD $3.99/month one that allows you to listen exclusively on an Amazon Echo speaker. If you want a more traditional subscription that also enables you to listen on your phone/computer, Prime members can sign up for a $7.99/month or $79/year option while non-Prime customers pay $9.99/month.
Amazon Music Unlimited also has a family plan (supports up to 6 profiles) that'll run you $14.99/month or $149/year if you're signed up for Prime.
To celebrate Music Unlimited's launch in Canada, Amazon's offering a free 90-day trial so you can see if the service is right for you.
