Peer into a lighthouse like never before.
The folks at Vertigo Games have been changing the way we thing about VR gaming for a couple of years now. The team behind masterfully scary shooter Arizona Sunshine and subtly brilliant stratey adventure Skyworld is about to publish a unique puzzle game to just about every VR platform this January. It's called A Fisherman's Tale, and early looks are incredibly promising.
Puzzle games in VR tend to do very well because you can really feel like you are picking up things in your environment to open boxes or unscrew lightbulbs, but the description for A Fisherman's Tale includes one bit in particular that leads me to believe we're in for something entirely new.
In a way, A Fisherman's Tale is a co-op game - but instead of playing with others, you're teaming up with multiple dimensions of yourself! Able to twist and bend your newfound, peculiar reality, you'll be challenged with multi-dimensional puzzles on your journey to the core of an unusually tall tale.
The video and screenshots for this game so far make it look like you're going to be interacting with previous tasks you have completed, which is a fascinating mind bend in and of itself.
A Fisherman's Tale is coming out in January 2019 for PlayStation VR, Windows Mixed Reality, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.
