Best answer: PUBG: New State's first alpha test ended on June 14. The developers have promised multiple alpha tests leading up to the game's release, with the next test coming on Aug. 27 for select regions.
Try before you die
PUBG: New State is the true sequel to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the first major battle royale game. While PUBG Mobile remains one of the most popular Android games available, PUBG: New State plans on improving the game in every regard, from its upgraded graphics engine to new mechanics introduced, including dodges, drone calls, and support requests. The game also has a futuristic setting, taking place in the year 2051.
Amusingly, it's not the farthest-out the PUBG universe is going, as upcoming horror game The Callisto Protocol is taking place in 2320.
In order to ensure that the developers meet the fan's expectations, a limited alpha took place, giving players a hands-on look at the new map, Troi 2051. But for those who missed it, one question remains on their mind — when is the next alpha? Well, fortunately we do have an answer. Unfortunately, players in many regions won't be able to partake.
PUBG: New State's next alpha is coming in August
Krafton announced that the next alpha test for PUBG: New State will be taking place on Aug. 27 and will run through Aug. 29. Like the prior test, this is meant to stress various gameplay elements. While the first test took place in the U.S, this test will be available for select players in Asia, the Middle East, Turkey, and Egypt. This test will also have players on the Troi map.
The developer Krafton is most likely taking time combing through the feedback from the alpha test that ended on June 14, so we might not hear back about future tests in the U.S. for some time. However, Krafton did release a video featuring the positive reactions from a variety of different streamers. For games like this, there's bound to be a few more stress tests in the pipeline. A tweet from its official Twitter page also promises a number of alpha tests to come in limited regions.

PUBG: New State is currently slated to release later this year, though the lingering effects of the pandemic on game development mean that nothing is certain right now. One thing that is certain is that interest is high, as Krafton also announced that the game has passed 25 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store.
