HTC has lost a number of senior figures over the past year, and if a report from Bloomberg is accurate we can add two more to the list of departing executives: Chief Marketing Officer Benjamin Ho and Engineering and Operations President Fred Liu. Ho, who took over as marketing head in early 2013, is said to have tendered his resignation and will reportedly depart by the end of the year. Sources for Engadget suggest that a lukewarm response to HTC's expensive Robert Downey Jr.-endorsed marketing campaign may have contributed to the CMO's exit. Meanwhile Bloomberg reports that Liu, a 16-year HTC veteran, will be retiring.
