Samsung adds red and 'rose gold' colors to its Galaxy Note 3 lineup

Smartphones these days are as much fashion accessories as pure gadgets and Galaxy Note 3 fans will soon have two more ways to mix and match. First off, Samsung went straight for a trendy "rose gold" hue for the handset's metal edge against a black or white body color, giving it a blingy Chanel vibe. Also on tap is a "merlot red" so that exhibitionist types will have something more outré to lust after than the current jet black, classic white and blush rose finishes. The new shades will be launched in China later this month, with other regions getting them as per "market preference," according to Samsung. We're not sure what that means exactly, because the market usually prefers things yesterday.

Panasonic adding Haswell and LTE to its Toughbook CF-C2 convertible

It may look hard, but Panasonic's Toughbook didn't really have the weight to throw behind those punches. That's why the company is upgrading the CF-C2 with a multi-carrier LTE modem, Windows 8.1 support and a Haswell Core i5. The wireless gear will let you switch carrier (via software) depending on which offers the best signal, while the upgraded internals have helped push the battery life to a staggering 14 hours. It'll go on sale at some point this month, with prices starting at $1,999, a small price to pay for it being able to withstand the average hammer-wielding crazy.

YouTube finally arrives on Nintendo 3DS with ironic lack of 3D playback support

If you're looking to head straight from Super Mario 3D Land to the land of cats and hate, you'll no longer have to switch devices: YouTube is now available on the Nintendo 3DS. You can grab the app from the 3DS eshop in North American and Europe just as Nintendo promised, where it'll join the likes of Netflix and Hulu, which itself launched just last month. Videos appear on the top screen and can be controlled by the triggers and buttons, while suggested videos, stats and, of course, comments are displayed below -- if you want to wade into that sinkhole. The one feature that you'd think would be a no-brainer is conspicuously lacking, however: support for 3D videos.

Dell preparing to squeeze 4K resolution onto a 24-inch monitor

It's hard to know whether PC monitors will continue to be much of a focus for the new Dell. Nevertheless, the relevant department looks to have been gearing itself up for 4K, as Bright Side of News and others have spotted a leaked product page for a 24-inch IPS LED panel with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. There's no price or availability information at this pre-launch stage, but we do have a bunch of specs: The UP2414Q has an 8-bit panel, with Advanced Frame Rate Control (AFRC) to try to simulate 10-bit color. It appears to lack HDMI 2.0, so it can only handle frame rates up to 30Hz over this type of connection, but it has DisplayPort 1.2 for 60Hz. It'd be nice to have a few more inches along the diagonal perhaps, but 4K on a 24-inch display still "only" equates to 185 ppi so maybe that's a safe limit for professionals requiring close-up perfection. Oppo's swiveling N1 smartphone to be available worldwide on December 10th for $599

Oppo promised that its swivel camera-toting N1 smartphone would arrive in December, and it's making good on that promise today by offering international launch details. An unlocked HSPA+ version of the 5.9-inch Android flagship should be available through Oppo Style and other outlets on December 10th, when it will cost $599 in the US and €449 in Europe. The company hasn't said whether this is the 16GB or 32GB model. There's also no mention of whether or not N1s with CyanogenMod pre-installed will arrive on the same day, although those who get the ColorOS-based phone should have a relatively easy time loading Cyanogen's firmware. You won't have to wait until the 10th to find out if the device is worthwhile -- our colleagues at Engadget Chinese have just reviewed the N1, and they believe that it competes well against many of its global rivals.

New Site Bible Pathway

I am starting a new site called Bible Pathway.  I feel that the Lord has led me to setup a site that gathers Christian resources together for all Christians to easily find and use.  We will be obtaining resources from several areas including sermons, music, bible software and audio versions of the bible.  We are greatly encouraging everyone to contribute in any way with suggestions and ideas at any time. We want this to be a location that we can all share our views and opinions. When the site is up and ready I will be making a Grand Opening Posting so everyone can contribute.
